Independent creator evidence collection

Pinterest traffic is collapsing overnight, and support says nothing is wrong

Creators keep reporting the same thing separately: reach and outbound clicks falling off a cliff in a day or two, old and new pins alike, no recovery. Individually we get form letters. Together we are a dataset.

What is being reported

These figures come from public threads on the Pinterest Business Community and r/Pinterest. They are what creators state about their own accounts, so treat them as reports rather than confirmed facts. That is exactly why this form exists: to replace scattered anecdotes with something checkable.

The test that matters

Most of this is hard to verify from outside. One thing is not, and it is the reason this collection exists.

Search for your own pin, logged out

  1. Log out of Pinterest, or open a private / incognito window.
  2. Take a pin of yours that used to get traffic and copy its exact full title.
  3. Search that exact title.
  4. Check whether your pin appears at all, and whether your public profile still loads.

Several creators, including this site's owner, find that nothing comes back while the profile loads normally. A pin missing from search for its own exact title is not a ranking change and it is not seasonality. It is something a reporter or an engineer can reproduce in under a minute, which is why the form asks for a pin URL and its title.

What Pinterest has said

Support replies to individual reports with the same message about natural ebbs and flows, seasonality and content quality. On 18 August 2026 a standing guide for impression drops was pinned in the Business Community, and new reports there are now closed with an identical paragraph stating that community staff cannot review accounts or escalate requests.

Once, to one person, something different was said:

They responded that they found a bug that was blocking healthy content by accident and to wait 48 hours for it to fix. It didn't fix. Creator posting on the Pinterest Business Community, 24 August 2026. Their ticket was later closed unresolved.

That acknowledgement has never been repeated publicly. The gap between it and the form letters everyone else receives is the thing worth reporting.

If your drop was sudden rather than gradual, please add it. Roughly five minutes, and the search test above is the part that counts.
